OECIS Admission Policy

国际部招生政策


(1) General admission requirements 总体要求

(a)  Parents or guardians are willing to accept IB philosophy and collaborate with the school as partners. 家长或监护人认同并自愿接受国际文凭项目理念,与学校合作。

(b) Applicants are required to demonstrate basic social skills such as a willingness to communicate, curiosity to learn, cooperate, and comply with school rules and regulations申请人需展示基本的社交技能,如愿意交流,好学,合作,遵守学校规章制度。

(c) An applicant from overseas must have a legal guardian who resides in China with valid residence documents. 海外申请人必须有在中国户籍的监护人。

(d) The PYP applicant must be at least 6 years old, and the DP applicant must be at least 16 years old in the September of the year of enrolment. PYP段在入学九月份申请人必须年满6周岁, DP段在入学九月份申请人必须年满16周岁.

(e)DP applicants: A proof of English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6 is required.

DP段申请人需出示相当于雅思6的英语水平证明。

(f) All students recruited according to the inclusive policy are classified as students of  priority attention. 所有按全纳政策招入的学生归类为重点关注学生。

 

(2) Transfer students 转学学生

Under the local admission policies, for students transferring from conventional schools, the following are additional requirements:

从其他学校转进来的学生,在不违背地方入学政策的前提下需要额外提供以下文件:

(a) An official academic transcript from the former school, duly signed and stamped 从原就读学校盖章并签名的成绩单

(b) For DP applicant, an official letter from the Head of the former school that confirms the applicant has successfully completed grade 10 courses 申请就读DP段的申请人,需提供原就读学校的正式文件,确定申请人已经成功学完十年级的课程。

(c) For students transferred from other IB schools, these students must submit

their original school transcripts or proof of attendance, as well as grade evaluation.

书院接收其他IB学校转入的学生。这些学生必须提交原就读学校成绩单或在读

证明,以及操行评定等级评价。

 

(3) Entrance tests 入学测试 ( only for transfer students)(仅限插班生)

All applicants are required to take the following entrance tests:

所有申请人需要参加入学测试:

      

(a)  English language 英语

       (b) Chinese language 汉语

       (c) Mathematics  数学

       (d) One science subject from Biology, Chemistry and Physics 生物 化学 物理中任

选一门 (only DP)(仅限DP段)

 

Time & Venue 时间&地点

The entrance tests are administered at the admissions office of OECIS from April to July of each year and results are released within a week. In some special instances, it might be possible to arrange individual test for applicants, e.g., international students, students from other provinces or tests missed as a result of hospitalization.

入学测试于每年4月-7月在书院招生办公室举行,成绩在一周内公布。个别情况下也可以单独安排考试。例如:留学生,从其他省赶来的考生,或者因病住院未能参加统一考试的考生。

 

(4) Interview 面试

(a) All applicants/guardians are invited to attend an interview after the tests. The interview provides an opportunity for the school to learn more about the applicants and parents/guardians and for the applicants and the parents/guardians to share their academic experience.

所有申请人及监护人都将在入学测试后参加面试。面试可以让学校对申请人及家长/监护人有更多了解,也可以让申请人及家长/监护人分享他们的学习经验。

(b) At the same time, applicants and parents/guardians can learn about the school’s philosophy, core curriculum, course selection requirements, academic integrity policy, language policy, etc.

同时,申请人与家长/监护人可以了解到学校的办学理念、核心课程、选课要求以及学术诚信政策、语言政策等。

(c)  Once the student enters the DP, the DP Coordinator/school counselor will guide him or her to choose courses.

学生一旦进入大学预科段,大学预科段协调员/升学指导教师将告诉学生如何选课。

(d) All the students are required to participate in CAS activities. 所有学生都必须参与CAS活动

 

(5) Students enrolled under the Inclusion Policy: 符合全纳政策招收的学生

The school will try to accommodate all prospective DP students that meet the minimum admission requirements. Reasonable flexibility will be allowed in the conduct of the entrance test for students with special education needs. The flexibility will include possible adjustments of time and date, duration of tests, occasional support for mobility, assistance for students with reduced mobility, or assistance from parents/guardians during the interviews.

国际学校会尽量满足符合大学预科段最低招生条件的学生。对有特殊教育需要的学生所进行的入学考试会有适当地弹性,包含调整时间和日期,考试时长, 机动性支持,为行动不便的学生提供帮助,或在面试时由家长/监护人协助完成。

 

While the school desires to provide access to all the students, for students with special educational needs, the school will provide assistance on a case-by-case basis. 

虽然国际学校尽量为所有学生提供帮助,对于有特殊教育需求的学生,学校会根据实际情况给予帮助。

 

Our admission policy clearly lists the admission requirements for all students but we may not be able to meet all special needs at all times due to the following reasons: 

我们的招生政策清晰地指明招生需求是针对所有可能的各段学生,但我们可能不能招收所有特殊教育需要的学生,原因如下:

 

Lack of adequate human resources and facilities to cater for special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, total hearing and visual disorder, muscular dystrophy, and any other severe neurological dysfunctions. 缺乏充足的师资和设备,来满足有特殊教育需求的学生。例如自闭症、完全失聪失明、肌肉萎缩症、以及其他严重精神疾病的。

We will assist parents to find out if there are special schools or institutions in the local community, such as schools for the deaf, the blind and so on, such special schools and institutions can provide more specialized education to benefit the above-mentioned students. 我们会协助家长了解本地社区是否有专门的特殊教育学校或机构,如聋哑学校、盲人学校等,由他们提供更专业的教育,让上述有特殊教育需求的学生受益。

When we enroll students with special education needs, we need to learn more about their physical and mental conditions, hospital diagnostic certificates, interview the students, and decide whether to accept them based on the conditions available. Students admitted under the inclusion policy are classified as priority students. 我们在招收有特殊教育需求的学生时,要详细了解其身体和精神状况,检查医院诊断证明,对学生进行面试,针对我们现有的条件,决定是否录取。按全纳政策招入的学生归类为重点关注学生。

 

If the parents/guardians refuse to present /are unable to provide relevant medical information or treatment records of their students with special educational needs at the time of admission, we will make decision based on the student's individual performance. 

如果家长、监护人在学生入学时拒绝提供/或无法提供学生有特殊教育需要的相关医学方面信息或治疗记录,我们将以学生的个人表现为依据,做出相应的决定。

We will sign a home-school cooperation agreement with parents/guardians at the time of enrollment. 

我们会在入学时和家长/监护人签署家校合作协议书。

 

(6) Admission 入学

The applicants with exceedingly low performance in both the tests and interview are advised for a delayed entry into the programme. However, for those students who meet the admission requirements of the comprehensive quality evaluation, the admission will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

申请人如果在水平测试与面试中不理想,建议推迟入学。但是,对于那些学生综合评价符合要求的学生,根据具体情况酌情考虑是否录取。

 

(7) Pledge of commitment 承诺书

All students and parents/guardians admitted are required to sign a pledge of commitment including relevant documents such as medical history or special physical conditions. Admission decisions are made based on the review of the student's medical condition and whether our school can provide the necessary medical assistance. Once admitted, students are committed to complying with school rules and regulations and to completing their studies on time. Parents/guardians should also support and cooperate with the educational and teaching tasks of the school. 

要求所有录取的学生及家长/监护人签订一份承诺书,内容包含既往病史或者特殊体质等相关文件。如学校能够提供医疗方面的帮助下再接收学生。一旦接收,学生承诺遵守学校规章制度,并按时完成国际学校相关学业。家长/监护人支持并配合学校各项教育教学工作。
